Vita
Tetiana Shestopalova is a professor at the Faculty of Philology at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. She has a scientific degree of Doctor of Philological Science specializing in “Theory of Literature” (year of defense: 2011). Her doctoral thesis “Concepts of Yurii Lawrynenko’s theoretical awareness” focused on the theoretical and literary ideas and fundamental principles of Yurii Lawrynenko’s scientific criticism. Lawrynenko is a well-known representative of the wave of political emigration by Ukrainians after World War II. Shestopalova’s thesis is based on Lawrynenko’s works (literary works, archive documents). It contains a lot of material for investigation of displaced person’s awareness, thoughts about Ukrainian culture, policy, history and contemporary as well as about Ukrainian collective memory, transformation of identity and trauma. Tetiana Shestopalova is the Head of Department of Ukrainian Philology and Intercultural Communication at Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
