Vita

Erik Martin is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the BMBF-project “European Times – A Transregional Approach to the Societies of Central and Eastern Europe” at the University of Frankfurt (Oder). He received his PhD 2011 from the University Tübingen with a thesis on negativity in the works of L. N. Tolstoy. His second dissertation dealt with cultural resources in Russian and Polish literatures and was completed in 2021 at Viadrina University; he holds a venia legend for Slavic Studies and Comparative Literature. His research interests are, inter alia, Multiple Modernities in Eastern Europe and Cultural Contacts in/to the Eastern Europe.
